No Earthly Gains are Worth the Lose Heaven
Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
All the riches in the world are nothing if you have to give up eternal life with Jesus to have it. Life on this earth is very short, and all the wealth of the world for this short life cannot even begin to compare with all of eternity in heaven with Jesus, (Matthew 6:19-21). We spend most of our lives trying to gain the worlds respect, and never stop to receive God’s amazing grace. When climbing a corporate ladder is more important then salvation, our priorities are out of line. At the end of our life when we take our last breath here on earth and come face to face with our Creator, God; we will be judged as who we were here on earth. Having the knowledge of God will do us no good and all our worldly gains we racked up while here on earth will quickly burn up in the refinery fire of God’s judgement, (Malachi 4:1). Being a good person on earth and helping others, will do you no good standing before God, if you never excepted Christ as your Savior, (Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity).
Most gracious Heavenly Father I pray for the many who are still lost to the lies of worldly gain. I also pray for us in Christ; to do the works that glorify You and to set our treasures in heaven, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
