Good and Faithful Servant

Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

I am a visual learner, I see what I read in my mind. When I read about heaven in (Revelation 21:1-22:5). Visualizing what heaven will look like with streets of gold, pearly white gates, and rainbows of colors brighter then the sun always leaves me with an “AWWW” impression in my heart as I day dream of my eternal home; I will one day be resting in. I think the one thing I am mostly looking forward to is hearing those words come from my Fathers mouth, “well done my good and faithful servant.” To know that the very second I placed my life in Jesus hand, and picked up my cross and followed Him was the best choice I ever made. But that is exactly what it is a choice, and God has given us all that choice. Our lives are not meant to last forever, we will take in our last breath one day, and that one choice we made will be our greatest journey. The choice of salvation, God has given His only Son Jesus as our sacrificial Lamb, to die in our place for our sins, so that we can have an opportunity to make a choice to be saved, (John 3:16). But like all gifts we have to make the decision to receive or reject, and depending on your choice, depends on where you will spend eternity. There are only two choices receive the free gift of salvation and spend ALL eternity in heaven where God promises there will be no more tears, pain, sorrow, death, crying (Revelation 21:4). The second choice is rejecting this free gift and going to hell separate from God and burning for all eternity, (Revelation 14:11). When we make our decision to be followers of Christ, our job is to be a reflection of Christ, to love, be a servant and spread the message of salvation to others. We need to be witnesses for God everywhere we go by the words we speak the love we display and the walk we talk. Planting good seeds is our main goal, to bringing as many with us to heaven. I can only imagine His words that day when I am face to face and the beautiful beam that will surround me as He welcomes His god and faith servant home, to her prepared room, (John 14:3).

Heavenly Father, oh what a glorious day that will be when you welcome your children home. Lord I pray that I will be that good and faithful servant, living a life for only You. I pray to be a witness for Christ with the words I use and life I lead. I thank You Father that some sweet day You will call this tried child home. What a victorious day that will be, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Boast only the Glories of God.

Boast only the Glories of God.

2 Corinthians 10:17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in The Lord.

We all have been guilty of boasting about ourselves. It is the flesh part about us that wants to take all the credit. We gain our strength and ability from Christ to start and finish our task daily, (Philippians 4:13). The miniseries we are called into by God, through Him we are able to conquer our selfish flesh for His glory. Our abilities and strengths apart from God is nothing, (Philippians 2:13). If we were to rely on our own abilities, we would never begin or even come close to finishing what we started. This is why there are so many task in our lives we have unfinished, because we started them without God. This is something I have learn, if the ideal comes to my mind, it is probably me and I am guarantee not to start or even finish. But if the desire comes into my heart, it is God’s calling on me to serve His kingdom. We need to take this calling and pray to be used by God to the fullest and put our 100% into what He has called upon us. But the most important thing is that we do not allow ourselves to gain the glory that only belongs to God. There is no better way to live, then a surrendered life to God for His glory. The next time you find yourself gloating, remember who called you out, gave you the strength and ability to see the task through the end. God rewards the meek and humble who take no pride but only in the cross, (Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world).

Heavenly Father I thankful for each task You set before me, I know that my own abilities will never complete them. It is through Your strength that I can serve Your kingdom for Your glory. I pray Lord to only boast in the abilities through You, aside I have none, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Soldier with Praise & Word

Psalm 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

Throughout the Bible, we are taught that the weapon of the Christian is their Bible; the Twoedged Sword. Christians are in a battle between the flesh and the Spirit. You might even say that this war is between the world and God’s people. Christians make up God’s army. The object of this war is the salvation of the people. We are in the last hours of battle. True Christians must put on their uniform and come forward to the front lines. Our uniform is mentioned in “Ephesians 6:13-18,” except we have patches on our knees from praying. The last 10 chapters of the book of Psalms are about praising God. If you want to feel the presence of God, You can, when you praise Him. God inhabits the praises of His people. We see in “Ephesians 5:19-20,” what should be on the Christians lips, “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” We believers walk in the Spirit with praises in our heart’s for God. The greatest gift we can give to God, is from our lips and that is praises of thankfulness. Be the Christian that other need to see as a reflection of Christ; with not just praises in your heart but on your lips as well. Carry your bible in your heart, but have it in hand to help others come to know Christ. I have a bible at home and one on my phone, that way I am ready at all times to whip my two-edge sword out for the glory of God and serve as a soldier for His kingdom.

Heavenly Father thank You for Your Word. I am thankful that not only does Your love letter change my heart, but that it is my weapon against the spiritual war that satan brings against me. I praise You Lord with the fullness of my heart and suit up in my uniform daily to serve You in Your kingdom. I pray to be a reflection of Christ to those in this lost world among the war of salvation, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

The Glory that awaits us in Heaven!

The Glory that awaits us in Heaven

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

God brought this verse into my life a after having Evie, of course my hormones were a roll coaster ride with post-delivery. It seemed like my heart stayed heavy with all the pain that was going on around the world. Every news report and random FB link of child neglect, the passing of a loved ones, and the heartache burdens of family and friend’s struggles just seemed to weigh me down. One day while reading the Word, this verse jumped out at me! I studied and mediated on it. God gave me comfort that day and reminded me yes in this world you will face tribulation, but be of good cheer for Jesus has overcome it, “John 16:33″…..PRAISE GOD! While you live in this world you will have pain, heartache and troubles, but know that these are light afflictions which are for a moment, compared to our enteral glory in heaven, “2 Corinthians 4:17.” Keep your thoughts on Jesus and your destiny knowing that through Christ we can keep going even in the hardest of times, when we truly feel like giving up! Apostle Paul’s own testimony lists a seemingly unbearable litany of sufferings and persecutions he endured throughout his life, yet he viewed them as weightless and lasting for only a brief moment. Today I am mourning for a sister in Christ who has lost her child, though we do not understand, we do know that God is in control and will not give us more then we can handle. He has reminded me of this verse “Romans 8:18.” Because even though our hearts our full of pain and grief, there is no comparison to the glory of which is to come, “1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” Today heaven has received another angel and I can only imagine the beauty that her sweet little eyes have seen and the love that Christ is giving her. Glory be to God!

Lord, thank You for always reminding me in Your Word that there is no pain that compares to Your glory! One day I will be in the loving embrace of my Savior and not an ounce of tribulation from this lifetime will come close to the joy I will be filled with. I pray today that those who read this devotion will receive the message of comfort for their pains. Many are struggling Lord and need this reminder to keep pressing on, in Jesus precious name I pray, Amen.
